Legal Aid Service of Broward County

Provides access to critical basic and emergency needs people lack when they leave their abusive situation. Program recipients receive assistance in removing financial sanctions from Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and other programs so they can obtain public benefits. LIFT also provides legal representation related to issues preventing family stability (evictions, landlord/tenant issues, and other civil issues), relocation assistance, job search support, assistance with child support enforcement issues, referrals and access to necessities such as food stamps, cash assistance, and Medicaid.

Income eligible persons, who are victims of domestic violence

Applications can be filled out at Legal Aid Service of Broward County or at Women in Distress of Broward County.
