Service Description
Assists individuals with a federal income tax controversy not exceeding $50,000 in any taxable year. Offers assistance/representation on federal tax controversies before the IRS, including the United States Tax Court. The clinic cannot prepare and file tax returns. The clinic can assist in preparing prior-year tax returns and preparing amended returns if such assistance is necessary to resolve a controversy. The clinic will not assist in criminal cases.
Eligibility
Individuals whose income is not more than 250% of the federal poverty guidelines with a federal tax controversy not exceeding $50,000 in a single year.
