Service Description
Provides information about Aid and Attendance (A and A) and Housebound Improved Pension Benefit provided through the US Department of Veterans Affairs. This benefit is available for spouses who require regular assistance with cooking, eating, bathing, dressing, taking on or off prosthetics, etc. It also includes individuals who are blind, patients in nursing homes because of mental or physical incapacity, or individuals in assisted living facilities.
Eligibility
Requires physician verification that the individual requires daily assistance with some of the tasks listed in the description.
