Service Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs provides payment for emergency care provided to eligible Military and Veterans in non-VA facilities. The program helps Veterans continue to get emergency care or Fee Basis care when VA medical facilities are not ‘feasibly available’. Care will be provided until Veterans can safely be transferred to a VA medical facility.
Eligibility
Military Veterans in need of emergency care when non-VA facility is unavailable.
Application Instructions
Contact www.nonvacare.va.gov for information; A pre-authorization for treatment in the community is required to use.
