Service Description
Provides violence prevention and character-developing after-school and summer program utilizing the curriculum of Martial Arts for Peace and cognitive behavioral therapy. The program involves the physical discipline of martial arts, mental self-defense, and peaceful conflict resolution. Combined with clinical interventions such as group education, anger management training, communication skill-building, and family support and guidance, this will help students improve their social skills, communication skills and reduce conflicts with peers and adults. Homework and tutorial assistance is part of the daily program activities.

Eligibility
Whispering Pines students only ages 5 to 12 years old who are severely emotionally disturbed, emotionally handicapped & at-risk of mental health problems.
