Nicklaus Children's Hospital

Provides a summer program for children with special needs run by Nicklaus Children’s Dan Marino Outpatient Center. The objective of Camp DMC is to provide a fun-filled, educational and behaviorally therapeutic curriculum while enhancing each child’s academic skills, functional communication, fine and gross motor skills and social interactions. The program is conducted by trained professionals, including certified teachers, behavior specialists, and education aides. Certified Behavior Analysts are on-site at all times. The ratio of staff to children ranges from 1:3 to 1:7.

Children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old with special needs. Children required to be toilet trained and have no severe behaviors. (Children as old as 12 may qualify to participate based on evaluation).

Children must pass a pre-camp screening before admission- proof of income required.
