Lafayette County Clerk of the Court

Provides a wide range of record keeping, information and financial management for the judicial system, the Board of County Commissioners, and citizens of Lafayette County. Provides online services regarding paying citations, child support, court costs, obtaining records, and more.

Responsible for maintaining court records and is the official recorder and custodian of all Lafayette County Official Records documents. Collects and disburses court-ordered child support and alimony payments. Issues jury summons; attends all Board meetings; records the proceedings; maintains meeting minutes; serves as the chief financial county officer; and processes passport applications. All records filed with the Clerk are available for public inspection except those exempt by judicial order or Florida Statute.
