Community Enhancement Collaboration (CEC)

Provides a model of emergency food distribution that enables clients to select their own food, much like a grocery store. Unlike most pantries, which provide clients with fixed boxes or bags of food with no ability to select the items included, client choice pantry allows clients the ability to choose from a wide variety of foods, better enabling clients to meet their personal dietary needs and preserving their sense of dignity. Using this model results in less waste, a higher satisfaction with the food clients choose themselves. There is also a shopping area just for children.

Broward County residents; preferably low income area residents; no one in need of food will be turned away.

No appointment necessary. Must be in line by 1:30 PM for Mobile Pantry days. Emergency food may be obtained on other days with a written referral from a social service agency after calling and making appointment.

Required documents: Valid photo ID ID with address Driver's license (if available) or other documentation with current address.

No fee. Accepts donations, sponsors, and supporters.
