Service Description
Provides a "No Wrong Door" approach of entry into the Broward County System of Special Education and related services. The program offers more than basic information and referral services. Provides an overview of the special needs system in Broward County, explaining how to access varying levels of services, identifying the caller's primary and additional needs, matching the caller's needs to existing community resources, following up with community providers and callers to determine the disposition of referrals. Offers follow-up calls or on-going contacts with the family, providing information regarding legal and advocacy services, and maintaining a log of unmet needs and systematic problems identified.

Eligibility
Individuals 22 years old or younger with Autism, Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Vision Impaired/blind, deaf or hard of hearing, speech/language disorder, or traumatic brain injury.
